Little Moments. Big Magic.

Meleech & David

Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is something that almost anyone can do. The only requirements are a willingness to make a new friend and a desire to share some fun with a young person.

Bigs and Littles expand each other's horizons by sharing everyday activities: playing sports, seeing movies, cooking, going over schoolwork, visiting museums, washing the car, taking walks, volunteering in their communities, or just hanging out together.

Within those little moments of friendship lies the big magic that a Big Brother or Big Sister brings to the life of a young person - and that a Little brings to his or her Big.

A Big can help a child discover a world of possibilities and opportunities simply by being a genuine friend. And our volunteers consistently say that being part of a BBBS match is even more enjoyable and fulfilling for them than it is for their Littles.

BBBS professionals work carefully to match each volunteer with the right Little Brother or Little Sister and to help ensure that the relationship will be safe and rewarding for everyone involved. Volunteers receive initial and ongoing training on mentoring skills. They also receive continuous support from trained professionals within the organization.
